Four years on the sidelines. Can Kristin Holte make it back to the CrossFit Games for the 9th time?
On Sunday we will know, when two of the three final tickets to this year’s CrossFit Games are handed out during this weekend’s Northern California Classic.
Not since she stepped onto the competition floor at the German Throwdown in 2021 has Kristin Holte competed at a Semifinal. That year she qualified, and finished 4th at the CrossFit Games.
Now she’s giving it another shot — but not without tough competition. Alongside 42 other female athletes, she’s in a tough battle to secure a qualification spot for this year’s CrossFit Games, which will be held in Albany, New York, the first weekend of August.
No workouts have been released yet, other than the announcement that there will be eight scored events. And with temperatures expected to reach up to 35°C (95°F), being able to handle the extreme heat will be a key factor this weekend.
Kriger is showing up strong this weekend in Sacramento, California — and Holte isn’t the only ones who wants to finish high up on the leaderboard
Andrea Solberg and Oda Lundekvam in the women’s division, along with Marius Pettersen and Jackson Miller in the men’s division, all have high ambitions and are ready to make their mark, and to fight for those top spots.

Ikke siden hun entret kjonkurransegulvet under German Throwdown i 2021 har Kristin Holte stilt på startstreken i en konkurranse av dette kaliberet. Dette året endte det med en 4.-plass i CrossFit Games.
Nå prøver hun lykken igjen, men ikke uten tør konkurranse. Sammen med 42 andre kvinnelige atleter kjemper hun en tøff kamp om å stikke av med kvalifisering til årets CrossFit Games som avholdes i Albany, New York, første helga i august.
Ingen økter er foreløpig sluppet, annet enn at det blir 8 scorede events. Og med temperaturer på opp mot 35 grader, vil det å kunne håndtere den ekstreme varmen være en viktig egenskap denne helga.
Kriger stiller meget sterkt denne helga i Sacramento, California – og det er ikke bare Holte som har gode muligheter til å hevde seg i toppen.
Både Andrea Solberg, Oda Lundekvam i kvinneklassen, samt Marius Pettersen og Jackson Miller i herreklassen har ambisjoner om å bite godt i fra seg.
